Hello, my name is Melissa Place and I am the Owner of Mel's Place Cheesecakes and More, LLC.   I am so glad that you have come to find my website.  Let me just tell you a little bit about Mel.....

I have been creating custom order cheesecakes and cheesecake cupcakes for birthdays, weddings, baby showers and other special occasions for over ten years.  Before that.....

​

I attended college for Business Administration and worked in the Business World most of my career.  The thought of having my own bakery had been nothing more than a dream for the better part of a decade.  

​

That dream became a reality in August of 2024, when I formed my LLC in Johnston County, North Carolina.  My husband and I purchased a concession trailer and  I found a regular place in Benson, North Carolina to set up.  501 S. Wall Street, Benson, has been "home" several days a week for my food trailer.  I can also be found in Four Oaks on occassion and at other Benson area events.​

In February of 2026, I began selling my cheesecake inside Sister's II Ice Cream Store at 108 S. Market Street, Benson.  When you cannot find me with my mobile trailer, you can find my cheesecake at the store.  Please be sure to stop by the store sometime and check it out!  It is a beautiful store with wonderful people inside and great ice cream as well!!
